History

GERDY is an R&D company which has been found in December 2021, Limassol, Cyprus.

We develop projects concerning ‘‘Industry 4.0’’ concept according to high European Union requirements with Worldwide potential, solving actual issues, including ecological and social challenges.

The inspiration for company’s establishment came through wide experience of its founder – Mr. Dmitrii Gartung – in sphere of manufacturing, automation and robotization. He believes that creation of innovative competitive products can be implemented in cooperation with world’s most progressive like-minded technical teams in scope of New international division of labor. Cyprus being a part of European Union is an optimal place for development with global cooperation.

The main focus of GERDY team is a range of “green” six-axis industrial robot manipulators. We rely on technical concepts which have never been commercialized yet.

GERDY signed a contract for the new Limassol office in March 2022. The premises at the ground floor in formal Bank of Cyprus building were renovated according to company’s need (laboratory and office). In June 2022 GERDY accomplished forming of core team and relocated remaining signed specialists in Cyprus.

Mission

GERDY’s vision and mission is to provide a unique solution to end-users in that will be the only one, to offer an innovative design and software, which will simultaneously achieve eco-sustainability in robotics and industrial automation giving our products the first mover advantage.

GERDY’s project eventually places Cyprus in the map of industrial robotics industry, since this is the first effort being made in developing the robotics industry in Cyprus.

GERDY aims towards the design of new serial industrial robots; the main focus for the company at the moment is the development of the universal industrial 6-axis robot manipulators and automation software.

GERDY’s design has the following unique selling points:

Focus on body’s generative design principles, allowing robots to weight much less, but simultaneously being able to lift more weight, and thus designed for heavier payload.

Design sustainable and greener solutions, allowing robots to be less energy-intensive, causing the reduction of carbon footprint during production and operation of these robots.

Design robots on modular platform principles, having unified components allowing them to customize models for customer needs more quickly and simultaneously making the production process much easier.

Design robots with longer lifecycle, allowing users to refurbish it easily for new user exploitation.

Develop an open control system, allowing the company to use a huge range of industrial special equipment, non-proprietary, third party and open-source software (OSS) with its robots making it more convenient for developers, researchers and end-users as well.
